5 Towers (Deep Print Games)
German
In 5 Towers, the players compete against each other in a masterful competition to build the highest towers. Each round, 5 cards with tower sections are revealed and everyone bids in turn how many of these cards they would like to take. The person with the highest bid takes the number announced and adds it to their towers. However, only different towers may be built and each one must be of the same type. In addition, the numbers on the cards must get smaller and smaller from bottom to top. So the faster you build, the more difficult it becomes to make any bids at all.
The aim is to have the most points at the end of the game. You score 1 point for each card in your own towers. For each card in towers with a spire, you even score 2 points. In addition, the highest tower you own scores points, while cards that are torn down during the course of the game count as minus points.
5 Towers is a card game that is all about timing and the courage to strike at the right moment. Author Kasper Lapp, who is already known for numerous innovative card games such as That's not a hat, once again surprises with an unusual game mechanism that only reveals its depth as the game progresses. The colorful illustrations by Annika Heller are filled to the brim with film and game references and offer pop culture enthusiasts an entertaining additional layer.
