Winter is coming to Carcassonne! But even in the cold season, the followers continue their usual activities. Knights patrol the cities, farmers provide for the people, and highwaymen conduct their business on the roads around the twisted city walls. In addition to the atmospheric illustrations, twelve additional tiles featuring animals and the mini-expansion "The River" in a winter look are included. This standalone version of Carcassonne captivates with its winter aesthetics, yet still offers the familiar gameplay experience.
