Predatory barbarians threaten the cities of CATAN. Can the mighty knights liberate the land from this scourge? No Catanian will ever claim that life is boring. How could they when new adventures always await beyond the horizon? As you approach the coast, dark plumes of smoke rise. Once again, the marauding barbarians have descended upon the coastal cities. Where are the brave knights to stand against the wild hordes? In the north, construction is underway: A seat for the rulers – the Council of CATAN. Marble, glass, sand, and tools are needed and must be transported by wagon train. In the south, caravans move through the desert – nomads exchange their valuable wool for goods. Will you guide your caravan to your advantage, or will you perish in the desert? But that's not all – there's much more to experience on CATAN! This expansion can only be played in conjunction with the base game, and it can be combined with "Seafarers" and "Cities & Knights".
