The New Discoveries expansion consists of three elements: a replacement block for the basic game, a new block with two additional maps and four back-up maps. The new block shows the Tabula Rasa map on one side. The rules for the Tabula Rasa variant are of course included. On the reverse side is the H+C game board that Hunter and Cron played with at CONspiracy 3. The map offers a new starting template for immediate play. The same rules apply as for the basic game. The four ambush cards are shuffled together with the ambush cards from the basic game during game preparation. Four cards are then drawn at random from the eight to be used in the game. With all the new elements, hard-working cartographers are guaranteed never to get bored.
